Ricky Kuo is a licensed acupuncturist from Southern California. Ricky grew up splitting his time between Taiwan and Orange County. Ricky's journey in pursuit of traditional medicine and acupuncture began when he received his bachelor's degree in Environmental Chemistry from UC San Diego. Ricky decided to change paths after receiving his degree and went on to receive his Masters of Oriental Medicine in 2013. Ricky then moved to San Diego to start his career where he received his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Health and Sciences. Ricky has studied under renowned acupuncturists in both the US and Taiwan. Ricky specializes in a combination technique of Tung's acupuncture method with a modern scalp and auricular acupuncture approach based on embryology and neuroanatomy; this technique is commonly referred to as Metta Acupuncture. Ricky enjoys helping patients with acute and chronic pain, stress relief, anxiety, depression, insomnia, migraines, digestive disorders, menstrual irregularities, infertility, side effects from chemotherapy, and much more. Ricky's goal is to provide each patient with an individualized treatment plan that will not only alleviate symptoms but also address the root cause of illness.
